Maybe the only beach you can swim in shallow sea water on one side and swim in fresh water of the lake on the other side.
You will be fascinated with the ancient Lycian king tombs that are carved in to rock face in the 4th century BC. Further up, there are natural mud and sulphur baths. Just follow the smell to find it !! Yes it may smell bad but it is very medicinal for your body and skin. It is said that you get five years younger after the bath.

Departing from Marmaris, admire the remarkable rock cut tombs of the Kings of Kaunos along the coast. Founded around the 9th-century BC on the border of the Kingdom of Lycia, Kaunos became an important Carian city around 400 BC and its culture reflected aspects of both kingdoms. The tombs were designated for the kings and other powerful people of the city, and filled with food, money, jewelry and other valuable items. Marvel at the Dalyan Canal as it weaves its way from Köycegiz Lake to the beach, a peninsula jutting out from the mainland. Famous for the endangered loggerhead turtles (Caretta Caretta) that lay their eggs in the sand, as well as blue crab, the beach is now protected to help conserve the turtles, making it out of bounds to the public from May through September. Jump into a mud bath for an indulgent and therapeutic wallow before your return transfer to Marmaris.

Enjoy a full-day tour from Marmaris to Pamukkale to explore the unique rock formations of this site also known as "Cotton Castle." Marvel at the white terraces saturated with dissolved calcium bicarbonate and visit the nearby ruins of ancient Hierapolis. The rock formations of Pamukkale are perhaps the most visited attraction in south-western Turkey. On this full-day tour you’ll see a series of white terraces that are saturated with dissolved calcium bicarbonate that bubbles up in the water from the foot of the nearby Cal Dagi Mountains. Hot springs emerge in the middle of what was at one time the ancient Greco-Roman city of Hierapolis. The archaeological zone of Hierapolis lies to the west of the village of Pamukkale Köyü, and is reached via a narrow road. The main features of the site include the Temple of Apollo and the adjacent cavern of Plutonium. There's also a restored Roman theater to the east, dating from the 2nd century A.D. and with an amazing amount of elaborate relief intact. One of the most interesting parts of the city is the colonnaded street which once extended for almost a kilometer from a gate south-east of the sacred pool, terminating in monumental portals a few paces outside the walls. To the south of the arch is the elaborate tomb of Flavius Zeuxis. This was the first of more than a thousand tombs of the necropolis, which is the largest in Asia Minor. It extends for nearly 2 kilometers along the road. There's also a museum, housed in the restored 2nd-century A.D. baths.
